Today felt like a “homecoming” as I preached for the first time behind the pulpit at the church where I attended from birth until leaving for college. I was well received by old friends and new ones as my wife and I informed the congregation all about Moldova, children’s ministry, home of hope, and how God called us to go there. I preached a textual sermon from the most famous verse in the Bible, John 3:16. At the end of the presentation I encouraged the congregation to seek, serve, and send. 1. Seek God until they find His will 2. Serve God where they are 3. Send others to do God’s will too. We closed by ministering a duet while pictures of Moldova played in the background. God’s presence was evident in the service from the start. It was great fun to weave stories from my years in this church into my message. Thanks to all who came and for your prayer and financial support!
It brought me to tears and a hunger for another trip.

It’s great having Alauna with us for a bit. She’ll be heading to Japan in either March or May, we think
Both Wayne’s and my school district are struggling, currently we’re both working without signed contracts. YUCK! My own little world is fine, so I don’t dwell on the politics of the district, I can’t change it!
